Following up on the Verifiable Index (VIndex) prototype presented last year, this talk presents an updated architecture designed to support verifiable search at Certificate Transparency (CT) and Merkle Tree Certificate (MTC) scale. While the code remains an evolving, experimental implementation, the design has matured to address hard production realities: high-fanout storage layouts, deterministic sandboxed execution, and crash-resilient pipeline lifecycles. Backed by benchmark data from indexing hundreds of millions of public log entries, we will explore what has changed since the initial prototype and the practical engineering lessons learned along the way.
